Among the many honors which Sister Mary received were: the Pynchon Award, presented by the Advertising Club of Springfield; the National Human Relations Award by the Connecticut-Western Massachusetts Region of the National Conference of Christians and Jews; the Via Veritatis Medal, presented by Elms College; and Chevalier dans lOrdre des Palmes Academiques from the Government of France.
